My number one reason is 'Time Freedom.' My time is my time. I don't punch a clock, no one tells me when I have to work or when I can play. I am not owned by anyone in any way.
My number two reason is the personal gratification that comes from knowing you've helped someone achieve their dreams creating a major life change for numerous family members.
My third reason is money. I have no limit to the amount of income I can earn. The type of income is the big deal. Leveraged, residual income. It's only found in MLM.
I can leverage my earning capabilities. Whenever I partner with someone and teach them to be successful I receive a cut of their production. In other words I get a commission percentage of their profits - for as long as they and the company are in business. This is a unique feature that only an MLM business is able to provide and the benefit can be like having 10 Million in the bank creating income - residual income.
Residual income can change a man or woman's life forever allowing them and their family to experience the incredible freedom that large amounts of monthly income can give. If you understand nothing else about the business of Network Marketing, known also as MLM, this particular feature with it's massive benefit of time freedom is the one to completely understand.
My reasons for becoming involved in MLM may be similar to yours and then maybe yours are different. In any event the benefits or reasons that I have outlined above are the same benefits you may experience as well when you join me and build your own business.
So, let's take a look at what Network Marketing or MLM is and what it isn't.
Network Marketing or MLM is a business.
It is a business of product sales and distribution. Network Marketing is a unique business and almost sounds to good to be true because:
- You can immediately become your own boss
- You can start part - time
- You can begin on a shoe-string ($100 or less)
- You can save thousands per year in tax dollars with home business advantages
- You have no employees, no payroll, no rent, no inventory, no territorial restrictions
- You have no ceiling on income earnings
- You can win paid trips/vacations
- You can earn a car/home allowance
- You can retire in 2 - 5 years, walk away and still get a nice fat, juicy check every month
There are many people who have retired from a Network Marketing business and still receive huge checks 20 years later. However...
Network Marketing is like any other business in some respects. It takes time, a little money and a lot of effort to start.
There are less than scrupulous people in Network Marketing, just as there are in any business or profession, that con unsuspecting dreamers into thinking that all they have to do is join an MLM company, throw up their free website and with no time, no work, and no money invested they will build an MLM or Network Marketing empire and become rich...
How absurd is that?
This is business - business isn't always easy.
It is sad that people who are in our profession have such little skill and confidence in themselves that they have to embellish the truth or out right lie in order to entice others to join their business BUT it is doubly crazy and idiotic for anyone to believe they can start and grow a business without investing time, work and money.
You will never build a large income, if any income, without a lot of consistent, persistent effort. In blunt terms that means you'll need to bust your hump, for at least 2 hours per day, 5 - 7 days per week, 4 weeks every month for ONE YEAR to earn any significant monthly residual income. Of course you could get very, very lucky, very quickly but you could also win the lotto - have you?
Network Marketing Is Not An Illegal Pryamid, Get Rich Quick Scheme, Scam, Or Dog And Pony Show!
In 1979 the FTC's allegations against Amway and MLM or Network Marketing were deemed erroneous when the Supreme Court ruled that MLM or Network Marketing is a legitimate business.
Network Marketing or MLM is not a get rich scheme. It’s a viable, proven, 30 billion dollar business based on word of mouth distribution of products, services and ideas. That’s all it is.
When you pick the right sponsor, upline and company you’ll have a business with an extremely low entrance fee that rivals the best franchises for products, training, tools and income potential.
Why Do People Fail In MLM?
There are many reasons. I'll cover the most common.
Reason # 1 is because the entry fee into a reputable MLM Home Business is peanuts compared to a conventional or franchise type business and so people have a tendency to be a ‘slacker’ and not do what it takes to be successful. They don't have a large capital outlay which means very little risk. You can start any legitimate Network Marketing home business for less than $1000.00. That’s less than a nice 3 day holiday. And since they can even start on a shoe-string basis for less than $100, if they already have a fax, phone and computer, it simply seems like no BIG loss if they don't do anything....
Wrongooo Keymoesawbee! Killer mistake!
IF you join me and do this (become a slacker) it may well be the biggest mistake of your entire life! With training and a lot of work, you could literally become the next Network Marketing millionaire and it's fairly easy to create an extra $1000 to $2500 per month residual income within one year when you commit, follow proven direction (training) and work consistently.
By the way, at current interest rates, $2500 per month residual income is like having $1MILLION in the bank paying you interest dividends every month.
Reason # 2 is negative friends and family. Dream stealers.
When a new distributor contacts their warm market (friends, family, co-workers) without proper training they most always run into the "Dream Stealers."
'Uncle Harry' says something negative about their decision to start a network marketing home business and they begin to doubt their decision. When Mom and Dad tell them they are crazy for getting into mlm they put their tale between their legs and quit.
Why?
They let negative comments destroy their dreams. They decide to believe what their friend or family member says (mostly preconceived misconceptions) rather than the facts about Network Marketing. They let others who may have never earned more than minimum wage nor have ANY business sense guide them in their decision.
Bad mistake. Killer Mistake!
Reason # 3 is training. They either do not have a qualified sponsor or upline leader with a system of doing business and training that teaches them how to be successful or they don't do what they are taught becuase of fear or a lack of real desire. So instead of finding a solution they quit.
Reason # 4 is they don't contact real prospects who are looking for a legitimate home business opportunity and they usually don't contact enough people period. Because of this they don't get their business off the ground and they don't make money.
Reason # 5 is they just plain quit which means they fail. Then...
They blame the business, their sponsor, the company, the products, and anything else except the real cause of failure…themselves!
Network Marketing is a business.
People fail in business.
That’s just a fact of life. 80% of all new business start-ups fail within the first year of operation. 90% never see 5 years. It doesn’t matter whether that business is a conventional, franchise, or a home-based business, the simple fact is people fail.
What Is The Real Income Potential Of A Network Marketing Home Business?
How many owners of a McDonalds franchise do you know that earn 7 figures per year? I’ll wager if you know even ONE they own multiple locations at an average cost of 1.2 million each! Yet there are many successful MLM home-based business owners earning 6 and 7 figure incomes that didn’t come anywhere close to investing even 1% of the cost of one franchise.
I’ve personally known people who have earned $250,000 - $400,000 per year after 2 and 3 years of hard work. One woman was an executive secretary for a rather large paint company who earned a salary of $1950 per month and within 3 years of starting her MLM business was earning in excess of $25,000 per month. But, she worked her ass off and so did the others! It wasn’t a free ride. Let me say this again, MLM - Network Marketing IS Not a free ride! It's a legitimate business and starting and growing a business takes time, money and effort.
MLM Is All About Helping People Reach Their Dreams.
The more people you help the more dreams you yourself realize. MLM is about 'leveraging' your time, your efforts and your income. MLM is about people not just moving products. MLM is about building people into strong leaders and changing their lives for the better.
When done right MLM is the most rewarding business on earth and more and more professionals seeking to enrich their lives and the lives of others are finding new hope and possibilities in the business called MLM or Network Marketing.
That’s why I am in MLM. Time Freedom, Money and the Reward that comes from knowing you helped someone achieve their dreams. Is it easy? Hell no! Is it worth it? Hell yes it’s worth it.
I sincerely hope you become all you can be in this wonderful business. It's there, it's waiting for you. All you have to do is take action and make it happen. No one is going to do it for you. Your sponsor will be there to help any way they can, but, the ultimate responsibility lies with you.
In a MLM aka Network Marketing home based business - It is what you do each day that determines your success or failure.
